Metal Types Used for CNC Machining Workshop

1. Aluminum
Aluminum is one of the most popular metals for CNC machining due to its low density, excellent strength-to-weight ratio, corrosion resistance, and ease of machining.
Common aluminum alloys used are 6061 and 7075, with 6061 being the most universal choice for CNC machining because of its machinability and corrosion resistance.
Aluminum is widely used for aerospace, automotive, electronics, and prototype parts.
2. Stainless Steel
Stainless steel is favored for its high strength, corrosion resistance, wear resistance, and good machinability.
Common grades include 304 and 316, with 316 offering higher corrosion resistance especially in harsh environments like seawater.
Applications range from surgical tools to aerospace components and consumer products.
3. Steel (Carbon and Alloy Steel)
Carbon steel is known for its hardness and strength but is less ductile and more brittle than stainless steel. It is used for parts requiring high toughness and wear resistance.
Alloy steels offer enhanced mechanical properties for demanding applications.
Steel is often used for gears, shafts, and machine components subjected to high stress.
4. Brass and Copper
Brass is valued for good machinability, corrosion resistance, and electrical conductivity. It is often used for decorative parts and electrical components.
Valued for its excellent electrical and thermal conductivity, copper is used in electrical connectors and heat exchangers. It is relatively easy to machine compared to other metals.

Every member of our team is carefully trained to use advanced machines and tools. They focus on every detail to make sure the quality of our work is always high.
We believe in continuous learning. Our team often takes part in training sessions and workshops. This helps us keep up with the newest machining techniques and technologies. By learning regularly, we improve our skills and provide better services to our clients.
Communication is very important to us. We listen closely to what our clients need. We also give clear and honest feedback during the process. This open teamwork helps us deliver products that meet or even go beyond our clients’ expectations. At KEMING, our team works together to create excellent CNC machining results every time.

Equipment of KEMING CNC Machine Workshop
At KEMING, our CNC machining workshop is equipped with advanced and reliable machines to meet various manufacturing needs. We focus on precision, efficiency, and quality in every project.

CNC Machine Center
Our CNC machines are the core of the workshop. They allow us to perform high-precision and complex machining operations. These machines are computer-controlled, which ensures accuracy and repeatability. We use CNC machines to produce parts with tight tolerances and intricate designs.

CNC Turning Lathes
CNC lathes are essential for turning operations. At KEMING, we use modern lathes to shape metal parts by rotating the workpiece against cutting tools. This process is ideal for creating cylindrical parts such as shafts, bolts, and bushings. Our lathes provide smooth finishes and precise dimensions.

CNC Milling Machines
Milling machines perform milling and drilling tasks. The machines remove material from a parts by feeding it against a rotating cutter. CNC milling machines can have multiple axes and spindle orientations. We use milling machines to create flat surfaces, slots, holes, and complex shapes.

CNC Grinding Machines
For achieving fine surface finishes, we rely on grinders. Grinding machines remove small amounts of material to improve the surface quality and accuracy of parts. This equipment is crucial when smoothness and tight tolerances are required. Our grinders help us meet high standards for surface finish and precision.

EDM Machines
Electrical Discharge Machining (EDM) machines are used for precision cutting of hard materials. EDM works by eroding material with electrical sparks, allowing us to cut complex shapes that are difficult to machine with traditional methods. This technology is especially useful for tooling, molds, and parts made from very hard metals.

Quality Testing Equipment
KEMING Quality Testing Equipment includes advanced instruments for hardness testing (Brinell, Rockwell, Vickers), X-ray inspection for internal defects, and magnetic particle inspection. Their system ensures precise, traceable quality control with computerized data management, supporting superior product reliability and customer satisfaction.
KEMING Quality Control in Machining Shop
At KEMING, quality control is a top priority in our machining workshop. We use many advanced testing tools to make sure every part meets high standards. Our inspection equipment includes three-dimensional coordinate measuring machines (CMMs), optical comparators, and surface roughness testers.

- We measure hardness with Brinell, Rockwell, and Vickers hardness testers. This helps us confirm that the materials have the right strength and durability. The surface roughness tester checks the texture of the part’s surface by moving a stylus over it. This ensures a smooth and precise finish.
- The optical comparator gives us a magnified view of parts. It helps detect any surface defects and verify the quality visually. Our CMM machines measure complex shapes in 3D with great accuracy. This guarantees that parts match the exact design specifications.
- We also use specialized gauges and fixtures to check dimensions and geometric tolerances. For internal and surface defects, we apply non-destructive testing methods like ultrasonic testing, X-ray inspection, and magnetic particle inspection. These tests do not harm the parts.
- KEMING follows strict inspection steps at different stages. We inspect raw materials first, then perform in-process checks to monitor dimensions and tolerances, and finally do thorough inspections before shipment. We keep detailed records of all inspection results and process controls. This helps us ensure traceability and continuously improve our quality.
